The SPORTEC 01 RS, represents the sportiest evolution of the range, developed for the most demanding riders who want maximum grip in the dry, steering precision and strong handling, with the possibility of track use while maintaining road approval.

The SPORTEC 01 RS uses an advanced two-component version with a sportier setting:
-100% silica core area for stability, control and road use
-Shoulders derived from carbon black-based racing compounds, derived from Metzeler's Road Racing experience – including the Isle of Man TT – optimised to provide grip and stability on the corner, while maintaining an operating window suitable for both road and track use.
-In the shoulder area, a base layer of racing origin is present, with a softer compound than the one in contact with the road:
-at the front, the base layer is made of full silica and covers both the tread and the shoulders;
-At the back, the base layer is in carbon black and is present only on the shoulders.
This setup is designed to provide a quick warm-up, high grip and consistent feedback, even under prolonged stress.

The SPORTEC 01 RS introduces a completely evolved structure, with materials such as PET (with the exception of the 200/60 size, which uses a rayon casing), designed to offer:

-Precise steering on the angle
-Control in extreme conditions

DYNATREAD'S PATENTED TECHNOLOGY
At the heart of the tire is DYNATREAD technology, a patented adaptive tread system that allows the tire to modify its behavior according to stresses, loads and riding style.
During braking, acceleration and heavy use, the grooves in the tread tend to close dynamically, increasing the footprint. This maximizes rubber-asphalt contact when grip is needed, while ensuring effective water drainage in less demanding phases. The result is greater stability, especially in the most critical moments of sporty driving.
